Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center Signs Management Services and Revenue Cycle Agreement with NewLight Healthcare

Liberty-Dayton, Texas (March 15, 2011) –Liberty County Hospital District announced that  Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center (LDRMC) has signed an agreement with NewLight Healthcare to provide management consulting and revenue cycle management services for the hospital.  “Drawing upon NewLight Healthcare’s resources will help us provide additional health care services to Liberty-Dayton and surrounding areas and enhance our ability to retain patients here in our own community,” said Bruce Stratton, LDRMC’s Board President.

LDRMC is a 25 bed, Joint Commission Accredited, Critical Access Hospital located in Liberty, Texas.  NewLight Healthcare, based in Austin, Texas, is a hospital management and consulting firm focused on serving the unique needs of rural and small community hospitals.   “Our philosophy is that health care is best delivered in a patient’s own community where they are surrounded by family and friends,” said Todd Biederman, President and CEO of NewLight Healthcare. “We are pleased to be able to lend our expertise and our resources to help Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center enhance its ability to serve their community.”

As part of the agreement, NewLight Healthcare’s revenue cycle management partner, EqualizeRCM, will provide comprehensive billing services for the hospital which includes managing the entire billing and collection process for LDRMC.

The Liberty County Hospital District Board of Directors, along with the LDRMC Board of Directors, will continue to lead the hospital in conjunction with NewLight.  NewLight will oversee the operations of the hospital and work closely with the hospital’s CEO, Vicki Gates, and her team.
