Nearly 62 million Americans call rural communities home. These families are the backbone of American Agriculture and innovative entrepreneurs who are committed to living the American Dream. These communities are the economic engines that helped the United States become the world economic power it is today.

“Nine in 10 Rural Americans say the rural and small-town way of life is worth fighting for…But nearly seven in 10 fear small town life may be dying.” (1)

Rural hospitals are often the economic foundation of small town communities, in addition to being the primary providers for care. When rural hospitals fail, small towns too often fail with them.

Today more than ever, rural hospitals are vital to sustaining small town America; unfortunately, many struggle daily as declining reimbursement rates and disproportionate funding levels make it challenging to serve their residents.

NewLight Healthcare would like to recognize and thank the dedicated physicians, nurses, administrators, staff, and providers of rural hospitals for their hard work and for keeping the American Dream alive.

Please join us in recognizing their commitment this November 19, 2015, which is National Rural Healthcare Day.
